This question is for guys that have gone through many different overdrives/boost pedals to push your slightly overdrive amp.
If you had to pick just one, what should it be?

For me, it'd be my Tumnus Deluxe. Adds the mids and treble where I like them, great to boost with, great to add more gain with if needed. I like the 3 band EQ as well.

Keeley Katana Mini! It’s internal hicut dip switch adds a soothing treble tamer. It works perfectly to balance gain and treble between my Strat and 335 :dude

Way Huge Green Rhino MkII. It sounds great, no matter what the guitar or amp - I have used it with single coils, humbuckers, P90’s orFiltertrons, and with Fender, Marshall, Mesa or Vox amps.

I like it so much I bought two.

A question like this seems very dependent on guitar, amp and style of music, no? Seems like just listing a bunch of overdrive pedals devoid of context isn’t really that helpful.

Prince of Tone. I like it enough to have one on my pedalboard and another for home and "grab and go" use.

Boosters I use all the time:

    ZVEX Super Hard-On

    DOD Bi-Fet Boost.

I've tested quite a few over the time and like these the best.

As for overdrives: My friend Timmy has always been there for me!

I have three keepers, but the one that works in for the application in the OP is the Amp 50 by Lovepedal... it’s perfect for that usage! :aok

I don't fly through drive pedals, but so far if I had to keep one, it would have to be the Ibanez Mini TubeScreamer.

When you want to punch through a mix for a lead boost, the Mini TS will do it everytime. May not be the newest sexiest drive at home, but in a mix its like, "oh yeah, there it is!".

Edit: Just bought the Earthquaker Devices Plumes....looks like it'll be taking the TS place!
