Your "Next" guitar?

Lots of threads about the right number of guitars... favorite guitars, etc.

So.

What's your next guitar?

Do you already have one in mind?

For me, it's going to be a Suhr strat.

I don't really NEED it.

But I want it.

:D

I finally got it down to one acoustic, one hybrid, and two electrics. I'm done for a long time, I hope. They're all so good that I think I'll be happy a while.

Most likely a Kurt Wilson LP type guitar. I don't have a LP currently, so that is my thinking for now.

Oh jeez, I dunno. I've had this build project in the back of my head for months, but I'm also really impulsive. There's nothing I need right now, so it's kind of just whatever.

edit: The last guitar I purchased, I bought three or four days after I learned they existed.

I plan what I want ahead of time, then something catches my eye and all my planning goes out the window.

Maybe either a vintage 70s strat, or maybe a MIM tele deluxe - yeah the ones that everybody here hates, they're just great great guitars. I hate the look, love the sound.

I really want a Jag. I just hate paying a lot of what's supposed to be a cheap guitar.

Waiting for the right one to come along, until then I'm trying to be patient.

I'm torn.
I like to have a range of guitars and there are a couple of formats that I haven't tried. LP jr DC dual p90 is one that has my attention.
Do I get a cheapie or...do I put together another partscaster in yet another format that I would like to try?
You can buy many good FINISHED guitars for less than a parts project, including the lp jr type.
None of them have my dream components and configurations.
I don't need more guitars.
Stuff is hard to sell.
A quandary.

You might be confusing a Jag with a Mustang or somesuch. Jaguars were intended to be Fender's flagship high-end guitar when they were introduced. Still, you can find CIJ ones around $700-800 most days, less if you're more patient, and Squier has one at $300 now.

Yes. An Esquire with a B16.
It's on the drawing board, will be built by my g/f Dawn of Naked Body Guitars.
A few very custom features that should present a challenge that she'll work out for sure. She likes a challenge.
Colors will be Cream White and Legend Lime Metallic (as on a 2007 Ford Mustang).
Should be an eye-catcher. Done sometime in Spring '13.

I'm thinking about another Warmoth build - a "Jazzcaster" something like this (composite put together in Photoshop):
