Bound to be many different answers here but let's say you wanted to pull off SRV's Little Wing as an example. One amp using vol. on guitar? One amp w/ pedals? Ch. switching amp? Whatcha got?

Snider California.... no pedals.. it can cop the SRV tones from the amp side but you'd need SRVs hands too...

The Matchless Phoenix is the best amp for a Strat I've heard.

Budda 4x10 Twinmaster. Turn it up till it crunches, then use the Strat volume knob to control the amount of scorch. High-gain input is pure blues heaven - turn it up and it barks, back it down and it chimes.

    Peace,

After playing and owning countless vintage Fenders of all eras, my Victoria Victorilux is the perfect Strat amp for me.

I'd have to say a Tone King Comet or Meteor -but- anything blackfaced is perfect for a strat. Tweeds are perfect for a tele. Almost as if Leo the genius designed it that way. :)

My Roccaforte's, and everything else I own.
Same for my Les Paul, and Tele's.

I don't know, something that sounds like a Les Paul into a cranked Marshall.

I'd use a super reverb or any decent 410 openback and 2 OD boxes

#1 Strat straight into a Mesa Dual Recto w/ slight delay.

#2 Straight into a Bogner Shiva w/ slight delay.

    #3 bassman is monster

#4 plexi (what can I say?)

With as many great amps that are available nowadays you shouldn't have trouble finding one that does SRV tone. I use either an AC30 or a JTM45, both with great results.:AOK
