Friedman BE-100 Deluxe. It produces any rock tone I'm interested in. By far the best amp I've owned, I love love love it.

Grab and go makes me think 1x12 combo, with as much capability packed into the amp itself as reasonably possible, so I might not even need any pedals. I'm thinking current Marshall DSL 40 combo, I don't even own one, but it has a lot going on and sounds good. Love my PRS Custom 50 too, but mine is a head with 2x12, they did make a combo version though.

Marshall JCM 2000 DSL 100 or the second version DSL 100H and a 2 or 4 twelve v30 cab. Full stack if I'm aLOUD.
Good pick, I was on my way to say the same.

Marshall DSL40CR. It's a touch heavy at 50 pounds, but if you get the optional 6-button footswitch you get a ton of tonal options without the need for dirt pedals. You probably still need more gain for metal, but for rock it covers a ton of ground.
