A friend of mine has that one and it runs on battery only, no ac jack. That's the only issue I have with it as I don't use batteries.

a friend of mine had one in front of his dirty amp in the 80s.

as stated above, no AC jack. also a little hissy, but then he used two of the freq centres for some big mid boosts.

Yeah I found a way to get around the "Hiss" that they are known for.

I liked it better than the mxr 10-band, but I recently got a Fromel which sounds better to me, on cleans that is.
A better application may be, as mentioned above, achieving a mid-boosted dirt sound. Some of the older ones were hissy, I know some of the caps were replaced in mine.

If you put an ancient first run MXR Micro Amp in front of it .... the hiss is gone. Cancels it somehow. Go figure.

MXR made replacement bottom plates that allowed to flat cable to go to the battery for use with a MXR 9V supply.
