    For me it's a side project of Sonic Youth under the name Ciccone Youth:



    At around 2 minutes when the keyboards come in, it just gets eerie.

    All of the Dukes of Stratosphear stuff is fantastic, but their take on the Beach Boys, "Pale and Precious" is sublime, with delicious levels of meta-references and influences



    (The band, for those that don't know, was golden-era XTC, incognito, paying homage to the psychedelic music of the 60s.)
