hi , so i got this -obviously targeted- ad on youtube the other day. It was about the new tom Morello masterclass, link below. it caught my attention because it looked actually pretty good , at least the production and the platform looks top notch

The platform is excellent - Mrs. Blanket and I have the unlimited pass, and enjoy a number of the classes immensely. Great idea, great service. Master Class has some great content.

Having said that, I have no interest in Tom Morello's class. Herbie Hancock's on the other hand ....

Not really the best way to start a commercial.

That looks cool to me. I've always taken a very, um, non-traditional approach to guitar, and I think his experimentation and approach would be fun to learn from.

Not for nothing, but David Mamet's class on screenwriting is amazingly pragmatic and applicable to all kinds of writing. Plus he is hilarious, in a very dry sort of way. We have used suggestions from the cooking classes repeatedly. And who wouldn't want to take a class on stand up taught by Steve Martin?

Love his playing and tone. The politics get old. The second Audioslave album was a masterpiece.

Is this a pay service or just a YouTube channel?

It's a pay streaming service with additional content. About $100/yr (+/-) IIRC.
