Yea, I thought at first fingerstyle, but then so many of my favorites always have the pick in hand for hybrid, Frisell, Sco, Lage,,,
I would want to maintain that kind of sound.

I voted hybrid pick/finger as that's how I play when more than one note at a time (or comping) is involved, but most of the single note stuff would be some alternate & economy with hammer/pull.... bit of everything really

Well....for the hybrid guys (I am one), do you use alternate or something else when you are only using the plectrum. I lean toward strict altenate (I think).

Also, surely the only answer to this is hybrid (you can most of all the others with hybrid)

That would sort of fall under economy-picking.
