I'm at my wits end. My account is fully verified and in good standing. I've been trying to upload my mom's wedding video to YouTube so the whole family can see it, but every single time, the upload cuts off at 9:57. No matter what. It's a 37 minute video and I have other videos on my account that are over 15 minutes, so I'm dumbfounded as to why this won't properly upload. I need help.

The video DOES have copyrighted content, but that's never been an issue with any of my shorter videos and millions of others that are 30+ minutes long.

Anybody have any ideas/suggestions? I'm frustrated and out of options.

Upload to YouTube then share the link.

What browser are you using? Switch to Chrome.

Save it as a different format first.

I'm on Safari. I've always used it and Firefox and never had issues.

    Must be too big. (File)

You may have to divide it into a series.

This is normal. Unless they recently changed something, normal YT accounts can only upload up to 10 min of video at a time.

You'd have to cut the video in thirds or upgrade your account so that you can have a higher limit than 10 min.

That's fine but when google (who owns YT) programmed Chrome they gave it some special upload features (my favorite being resume).

What would changing the format do?

My account is verified (upgraded) to upload videos over the regular 15 minute cap, up to 12 hours.

Is the file stored on a local drive or a network drive? Sometimes that can make a difference.

Try another service? It's free for a reason.

I figured it out. The video file somehow got corrupted at the 9:58 mark. Thanks for the help.

H.264 mp4 files are what is optimal for YouTube.
