impressions from owners? seems like a cool amp.

anyone try other than stock tubes?

looking for a good deal on a used one...although the hardwood one at fat sound has me GAS'ing.

seems similar to my rocket-esque paul ruby... turn it up and let it wail.

thanks for the link... i'd checked all the posts i can find (z forum, etc.).

my only thought is that the maz gt and my ruby might be too similar.

i'm really GAS'ing to play through one!

Loving Mine. Sounds great with all of my guitars. Favorite speaker with it is a greenback Celestion. Check out this link of something I recorded for fun with the GT:

    thanks for the replies.

my only question is the low-end content. i have an overdriven el-84 based amp, although not as much gain as the maz gt. i want something with more gain, more bottom, to compliment mine.

fantastic amps, no dirt pedal required; cleans and dirt with the rol of a volume knob; volume is loud to medium loud but with a G1265 and a 1x12 combo (like a port city) its perfect volume for most jam applications. Great low end and smooth transition from clean to dirt. Use the volume knob! set the amp on 9:30 and forget about it!! great amp from Dr. Z.
