Zappa Question - Overnight Sensation backing vocals on Montana

    Montana on Overnight-Sensation: VERY difficult vocal passage in this song performed by the Ikettes in the middle section after the guitar solo. In the higher registers they sound almost like chipmunks with incredible note accuracy at that speed - leading me to suspect it was recorded at a slower speed then sped up to match the recording key and speed with everything else added. Thoughts/insights from any Zappa nerds out there? I read it took them two days to get the parts down.
