Well my boutique'y board is about to try another contendor - the
Zendrive arriveth soon.....How's it play with:

    Honeybee
    EGDM
    Klon
    Carb
    AM Sunface....

One of them would have to go to make room, I guess the answer is I'll just have to try it out...
    this is with a tele and 335-type thru a EL84 Goodsell Super 17 (tweed/deluxy)
Looking for just Variety at its best - I did try the Jetter GSR and didn't like it -
heard the chirp, but it seemed muffled on the mids to me- I'm hoping the Zen will be a little more dialable with the others.....:D

EGDM would probably be closest. The Zen is a bit more aggressive than the Eternity with less congested mids. Its a bit more open and you can get more clarity out of chords. Still, the E and the zen sound similar so if you've had an E you should know what to expect.

I find the Zen into the HB to be verrrry nice. The HB seems to fatten and smooth out the Zen, while retaining it's best qualities. HB or not, the Zendrive is a keeper for me.

Hrmmm I would never have compared those two pedals. Different ears are an amazing thing.

The EGCM is a TS type pedal right? The ZD sounds a lot like a TS.

try Klon( gain set low, boost function) into Zen( adjust for leads). This is what I use w/ my goodsell for my small gigs.

    Got it today --

just trying it now going tele/335>zen>Honeybee>Klon>Reverberator>Goodsell

    settings - gain -11, tone - 12, voice - 1.....

    Man,
I think this will replace the EGDM in that position.
Great tone with the tele (well its fattened a lot by the HB and Klon)

I'm loving it so far -
and I didn't care for the the Jetter GSR at all, funny enuf -
    this is much more open.

I honestly had low expectations for this pedal - wasnt even that
excited when it came today...happy enough with what I got already....but I was wrong.

I don't care at all about the D*mble/Ford sound....
this just sounds right, right now...
