I really want to say I was wrong when I said in another thread the amp models where unusable. To be honest, I don't think I had given them a fair try, so I take back what I said.

Here are two clips to show you what I got. I don't know if they are the best sounding clips, but I'm pretty happy with how they sound and how they feel under the fingers.

Edit: Added a Two Rock model clip.

Loved the sound in the first clip. Not even used the B-breaker amp yet. Will have to fire it up next time :)

Thanks everyone for the comments! :)

promfret, I used the Marshall Blues Breaker model for the first clip and the Bogner Ecstasy one for the second.

Thanks again everyone for the comments. :)

bluesdoc, yes, it's direct. I didn't record with the usb though, I plugged it to my Apogee Duet. I actually tried both and preferred the tone I got this way, the low end was a little more natural IMO.

The guitar was a Fender HM w/maple neck and Dimarzios Fast Track 1 and Breed.

Sounds killer, that first clip especially. I too have been having a bit more success recording into my interface rather than direct. Maybe its a driver issue or just that I'm more used to it.

I didn't like the amp models as much at first either I don't think, but now I really dig them!!!! Very powerful piece of gear especially for the money!!!!

Thanks once again everyone for all the comments! I really appreciate it :)

mistydoo, the setting on the amp are:
Gain 80 Tube 85 Level 100
Treble 74 Mid 44 Bass 72
Presence 10 BB cab

It went amp - tape delay - spring reverb. The delay and reveb settings I didn't save.

Here's one more clip. Something a little more controversial this time - I tried something in the Robben Ford/Dumbly vibe ;). I've used the Two Rock amp model for this one obvisously. :bonk

Thanks for posting the settings. On my unit, and with my Les Paul, I had to back the gain down a little, but it does sound nice.

Thanks for the comments everyone! :)

FUSER, it´s a great unit if you consider the price. It sure has its weak spots, but for the money it´s really really hard to beat.

toneseek, your thread was the one where I said I didn´t like the amp models. How wrong was I?:bonkI really liked the Two Rock model, but everyone seems to have its sweet spot! Enjoying a lot more my G3 now!

evildik, I found out the G3 is surprisingly responsive to different pickups/guitars. I think I forgot to mention, the Two Rock clip I did with my Gibson Nighthawk with a Dimarzio 36th anniversary in the bridge. I just coudln´t make it sound right with the Fender HM that I used for the other clips.
