Zoom G5 question

I just bought and downloaded the MS Drive model amp into my M100BT. Now I've only used the 100BT for fx, not amp models.

I find the 100BT has a lot of "noise" when using amp models.

However, I really like the MS Drive model. Questions are, is that model identical to the one in the G5?

Is the G5, fundamentally quieter than the 100bt?

Thanks in advance.

Read the old main thread and your answers will be there.

Bottomline is you have too much gain. Back it down and it will be much better. And the noise gate works very well too.

Just to answer the question about the G5: If I play guitar into G5 into headphones (and nothing else), the thing is annoyingly noisy. If I plug the output into an amp - and I don't even have to use the amp - the noise is gone. Most probably because the amp is grounded and the freaking G5 isn't.
^ I can also attest to this. I plug the G5 output into my amp even when using headphones and not using the amp. It eliminates the noise and G5 goes nice and quiet.
