    Despite my love for synthesizers and the like, I remain a complete midi doofus! Its my curse! Lol. However, is there anyway to midi control the Zoom ms70cdr with a midi controller like the Rolls Midi Buddy? Apologies in advance for the duhhhhhh question o_O

    Yes, we do in fact have several solutions for controlling the Zoom MultiStomp and G series using USB. Look into our DMC-3XL, DMC-4, DMC-6, DMC-8, or DPC-5 units, as well as the upcoming DMC.micro. Got questions? Ask away.

    Will check these out, Thank you! Since I've already outted myself as a "midiot," (midi idiot, u saw what I did there?) LOL. Rather than simple bank up/down, can I set the A.B.C.D. switches to any Ms70cdr preset?

    Interested in this as well. I used to have a MS70CDR but sold it because it was just too cumbersome to use live. One of the best band for your buck multi effect units out there, especially for the size.

    Two buttons, blue LED display, two LEDs.

    [IMG]

    9V (64mA,) MultiJack, MIDI out / in, USB host / USB MIDI, fixing screw.

    The MultiJack can handle:
    * Expression pedal input
    * Foot switch / tap tempo input
    * MIDI input and output
    * MIDI output and output
    * Tap tempo output

    The MIDI jack can do input and output, and it works with Nixie.

    The USB port works as either USB MIDI (works with Nixie) or USB host (works with one Zoom device.)

    We will have some prototypes at NAMM to check out including my neon green glow in the dark test unit.

    Any chance it will be able to change the midi send channel!? I'd love to have micro for controlling my Tonal Recall all the time while my TL keeps being controlled by my DMC4gen3 on ch1.

    @DisasterArea So this new little box could manage presets on a Zoom CDR, allow for expression pedal control of Zoom effects and potentially control Strymon pedals all at the same time?

    Yes. Definitely. Though you can control your Tonal Recall on any channel you like, there's a way to assign it to something other than 1 and you could control it with your DMC4 if you wanted.

    You had me until "expression control of Zoom effects." The Zoom units don't respond to any MIDI information other than program changes and a single CC (activate tuner.) You can change parameters on them but it can't really happen in real-time. So yes to all of that except expression for the Zooms.

    Full disclosure- I have DMC4gen3, a SmartClock, a DMC2gen2, and a DMC3gen1 all on my board right now. It is a chaos of midi. I love it. The one thing I was bummed about on the DMC4gen3 was that I was hoping to use it to control devices on channels 3,4,5 while my DMC3 keeps rocking my TL. I'm still experimenting with how to get all the midi perfect for me.

    I do know that I love the Tonal Recall and Meris Mercury7 so much that I want to have a screen controlling it all the time and reminding me which PC it is on. I know, I know, I'm doing weird midi stuff. Half of my PT Pro are midi controllers now, ha...

    May I submit my option too? The ZPI (Zoom Pedal Interface):

    https://www.facebook.com/zoom.control/

    A bit more Zoom specific - controls multiple pedals (G series, 1 series, MS series - except 100BT), wireless graphical interface to ios/android/macos/windows, multiple expression pedal inputs (which can control any parameter), MIDI i/o, ...

    The ZPI will do all of that, including the expression pedal bit. (The Strymon part is still "potentially" but not too far off.)

    The catch: still up to a few weeks away for the latest version, which knows about the latest MS pedal firmware (and interfaces to DAWs, allowing them to control the Zoom pedals.)

    It looks like pre-orders are being accepted for the DMC Micro. "Shipping in November" Any Chance of a video demo with the Zoom MS70CDR?
