I bought one of the new ZT Lunchbox amp and I have to admit it really does sound nice and has the volume of a Twin Reverb. Weighs just 10lbs, I bought it to take places on the run and at rehearsal and in very small gigs and it should get the job done nicely!

I forgot to mention this little amp has 130 watts RMS and 200 watts peak output! (yes, I stated that correctly)

Can you give more info about the tone, performance, features & your overall feeling about the amp.

Im really considering one of these for small gigs & practice

How does it take pedals?

Does the speaker handle the power good or does it breakup when cranked up???

The amp has good clean headroom and good breakup depending where you set the vol & gain controls. The edge of breakup sounds are very good and the amp easily has enough volume for gigs. The "reverb" control is really not reverb as most guitarists know it, it's more like a ambience control that makes the amp sound like a closed back cab or a open back cab. For $275.00 I think it is worth it, and it takes pedals very well (G2D Cream Tone, Keeley modded Rat, Fulltone Clyde wah, Keeley compressor, MXR Carbon Copy delay, etc)

Aslan..

Thanks for the reply RE : the Lunchbox.. wondering
if since you have had the amp, you have tried plugging it
into a bigger speaker Cab, and whether that had a positive effect
on the tone.

Also, Aslan, can you give us more details on how it handles your lunches?

Does it keep your hots hot and your colds cold? Can it handle a mixed payload of both hots and colds and keep each of them at their optimum temperatures?

What size thermos bottle can it hold?

Can you compare it to one of my all-time favorites - a vintage Banana Splits lunchbox from 1969?

Thanks in advance for any details you can provide.

I've been eager to try one of these out. Saw one at the Dallas Guitar Show, but the lazy dealer didn't want to get his pants dirty setting it up. Wouldn't bought it one the spot if I liked it.

One concern, no matter how loud and efficient the design, I imagine it would be extremely directional making it fairly difficult to use by it self live. Is that the case?

I'm interested too!

That is a sick amount of power out of little box.

I too am wondering how it takes pedals.

I'll find out tomorrow.

Just listened to the manufacturer's clips. Wasn't all that impressed by 'em. Have a listen and let us know, please, whether in your view they accurately represent the amp. Thanks.

I stopped by their booth at the NAMM show. Someone was demoing the amp inside an isolation booth they had setup. While I didn't go inside, from outside the iso booth it sure sounded like a full-size amp. I was pretty impressed.

I was with Ken Kantor at the NY Amp Show and this little devil is amazing and about the price of a pedal! Sounds great on gigs and is the perfect grab n go amp.

Takes pedal very well, cabinet is MDF and covered in a sort of plastic material, sounds great with ext cabs and absolutely will cut the gig "stand alone" (I have had it out on several). I have just reviewd this amp and it rocks.
