Since the cable comes out of the bottom will velcro work on these???

Anybody got a pic of a ZVEX (or MXR) pedal using a power plate and attached to a pedal board using velcro???

Had one a while back and yes, you can apply strips of velcro on the bottom without issue. I recall using the Velcro strips and applying pieces around the cable grommet.

i use the old MXR back plates with the factory cut out used with thier own power supplies. its a better design than the power plate and it come sout the end rather than in the middle of the bottom. i also have some spares. and they are a perfect fit.

I really wish the Handpainted ZVEX pedals would have power supplies or at least an on/off knob.

The truth is the current draw is so low on them that a battery, even plugged in and left on will last for a while!

I let it go, those boxes are small and most of them are full to the brim so no biggie...Z gave us the power plate which is a great product as well as the pedals so no worries...

these are the vintage MXR backplates cut out from the factory for use with thier own power supply terminal. i think Analog Man or someone had a deal on using these plates for the Zvex pedals. they are a perfect fit and work better than the power plates because the adapter goes out either the top or bottom however you put the plate on. also pictured is the one spot 9v adapter. works perfectly. i have actually sold a few of these here to people who needed the power plate but wanted the ease of the jack coming out the end (top or bottom) why the power plate isnt that way ill never know. with these you can easily apply velcro safely and securely.

Does the little "pigtail" in those MXR adapters have filtering like the ZVEX Power Plate??

Sure. I've done it plenty of times.

Here is one on a PT-Jr. with the power plate:

Then here is one on a flat board:

I've got plenty of different pictures where I had Zvex pedals, with power plates, on my boards with no problem, but I figure you don't need to see all my pictures. They stick fine though. No worries.

yea they work way better than the power plate,(no offense to Mr.Z.)
as far as filtering the adapter is a one spot im not sure about the filtering. i also am not sure why you would need filtering?

From the Analog Man website:

In response to overwhelming requests for modifications to Z.Vex pedals for use with A.C. power supplies, we are now offering retrofit plates that you may use with any Z.Vex pedal that allow connection to a standard Boss-type (5.5mm X 2.1mm barrel-type) A.C. power supply.
Some notes:
Remove your original bottom plate, and put it away for safekeeping. Remove the battery from the effect and clip the battery clip from the Power Plate to the battery clip in the effect. Put some tape (electrical tape is best, but anything will do) on the connectors so they don't short against anything inside your pedal. Tuck the power supply filter and the clips into the area where the battery goes and make sure they don't cause anything to break while screwing the plate in place with the original screws. You can angle the umbilical cord in any direction to head toward your power supply. This power supply adapter works well with any type of D.C. power system, even daisy chain.
The small plates will also work with old MXR and some other similar sized pedals!
