I have no desire to attend but willing to fork over about 300 for good seats later this summer for my son and his GIF (GF) :) Son loves their music and GF would likely be on the ride to hang. Good performances in 2019 or pass? What say you?

Man you have Billy pegged wrong. They move forward. His solo albums have been great. Billy loves to play. His hearts in it.

Their set is pretty much all songs that you will know, and that's what most folks want to hear. They will usually throw in one or two lesser known songs. As someone who has seen them many times over the years, I would love to see them play a show of all deep cuts. That said, they will be great, sound great, and not mailing it in. Go see them!

Just saw them a couple weeks ago and they were fantastic. Tone and live sound was great. Playing was awesome. Billy joked with the crowd and in between songs. Wife turned to me at one point and said “he’s so cute!” haha.

They played all their big hits, a couple of his solo songs (Gotsta Get Paid is the one i remember) as well as Sixteen Tons which I think he recently did with Jeff Beck somewhere, if I remember it correctly.

Anyway - we had a blast!!

If you’ve never seen ZZ Top - HELL YES!

If you’ve seen ZZ Top - Probably not, unless you’re a diehard fan. Nothing new in their shows in the last 20 years.

I've seen them at least six times and I was only disappointed once. Last time was around a couple years back when they were touring with Jeff Beck. I had decided I was just going to watch JB and then leave because of the hour and a half drive back home. Once they started playing I couldn't leave, ended up staying till the end.

Never have seen them live. I'm OK though, rather my Son and GF experience some of the great Concerts I went to at 17 yrs old for stuff to remember. He still talks about the Styx Concert we attended about 4 years ago.:)

Not a fan. They’ve been phoning it in since the 70’s.

Gotsta Get Paid is from a ZZ album, not Billy's solo albums.

The smaller the venue ,the better..I saw them at the greek theater and it was a rocker.. I also saw them in a huge place that wasn't built for sound and it wasn't worth the trip.. not ZZ's fault .. They put out but it has to be a place with great sound

At some point all rock icons will say enough, and the rest of us will complain that we never went to see them. So I say when you get the chance to see someone or a group that fits the definition....put down the remote, get off the couch and go.

Done- 357.50 for gold tickets. Both are hyped which makes the $ well spent. Hope they remember it for lifetime.

Oh, herp derp - you are right.

I’m drawing a total blank now on the solo song.

I saw them a couple of years ago at an outdoor venue. They were absolutely awful. It sounded like they were having amp problems, a lot of pops and unwanted feedback. It also sounded like they were playing over their own recorded music and they weren't getting the timing right. I was very disappointed. Blackberry Smoke opened for them and they were also terrible. They hit so many clams I thought I was at a canning factory. These guys think they're the second coming of Lynyrd Skynyrd. Save your money.

i saw then at the Beacon Theater in NYC about ten years ago (Blackberry Smoke opened) then a few years later in Philly, at the Troc I think. Each show was worth the price but they were balcony seats (really good view and sound) and not early as steep what you are paying. I was a big fan growing up so it was worth it for me. Having seen them four times now, i wouldn't pay a lot to see them again.

If the tickets weren’t a gift for your son I’d say no f*ckin’ way. But, knowing your son is a fan of ZZ Top & he & his lady friend will enjoy the show... go for it! :aok
